What is Latitude Giving?
Latitude Giving celebrates the power of our people to make a difference to the community. You can give your time or money by making a pre-tax donation to charity, volunteer to work on a community project or fundraise with the support of your colleagues, family and friends.
The program offers flexibility and choice. In addition to our charity partners, you will be able to donate time or money to hundreds of other charities.
The Latitude Giving program is open to all employees in Australia and New Zealand. If you are a contingent worker, you can still make donations through the platform via other payment methods.
Why should I donate through Latitude Giving?
One of the exciting features of Latitude Giving is the commitment from Latitude to match dollar for dollar the donations made by you to our selected charity partners (to a maximum of $150,000 p.a). This means twice the benefit and impact for those charities! Latitude will also cover the administration fees so 100% of your donation goes to your chosen charity.
Your donation is tax deductible! If you donate via Payroll (pre-tax) your tax benefit is immediate. If you donate via credit card (post tax) you can download your tax-deductible receipt at tax time and you might also earn points on your card.
Who has Latitude partnered with to deliver Latitude Giving?
We have partnered with GoodCompany to deliver Latitude Giving.
Founded in 1999, GoodCompany was Australia’s first Skilled Volunteer portal. In 2007 GoodCompany merged with the Karma Currency Foundation.
Today, GoodCompany is an exciting hybrid social enterprise that embraces both a non-profit Public Ancillary Fund (PAF) with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status and ‘for purpose’ structures to create greater social outcomes.
GoodCompany now supports over 1,500 of Australia and New Zealand’s most respected charities.
Which charities are on Latitude Giving? How do I add one?
In addition to our existing charity partners, Latitude Giving will allow you to donate your time or money to over 1,500 charities.
Charities must meet certain criteria to join the program including Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) Item 1. You can check to see if a charity is DGR item 1 by searching the Australian Business Register here.
If a charity you’re passionate about is not registered with GoodCompany and they meet the DGR criteria, please let us know if you are willing to champion their cause via advocacy, donations, volunteering or fundraising. Details of the charity can be emailed through to support@goodcompany.org
How do I register?
Good news! We’ve enabled Single Sign On (SSO) for the Latitude Giving Portal! You can log on with your standard SSO and password. When you first log in you will need to agree to the terms and conditions by checking the tick box and then select ‘register’.
